A spray tan is a quick & easy way to achieve a sun-kissed glow without the long-haul flight to the Caribbean. Here at Body Contour we use only the very best products, so both of our spray tans are provided by Sienna X; Guild Award winner for 12 years! We offer Sienna X Tan and Sienna X 1 Hour Tan.
Sienna X Dark Tan
This treatment creates a deep, natural-looking tan. Sienna X gives an instant sun-kissed colour and develops into a long lasting, sunless tan. It is recommended to rinse off 6-8 hours after application to reveal the final colour. It is applied to your skin as a mist via a spray gun and typically takes around 15 minutes to complete.
Sienna X Quick Developing Tan
This treatment is perfect if you’re looking for an instant tan without the development times. This can be rinsed off 1-3 hours after application, making it a perfect choice for those who prefer not to sleep in their tan, and also ideal for last minute events. It is applied to your skin as a mist via a spray gun and typically takes around 15 minutes to complete
Tanning Tips
Exfoliate thoroughly beforehand; the tan will take more evenly
Moisturise in the days running up to your tan as this will avoid the tan settling on dry skin and creating a patchy tan, but do NOT moisturise on the day of treatment as this will act as a barrier for the tan
Wear very loose clothes to your appointment so that the colour is less likely to transfer
Don’t wear deodorant, make-up or perfume to your appointment as these may react with the tan. Wipes are available in salon if needed
Air dry after showering, don’t rub with a towel
Stay moisturised after your tan as this will increase the longevity
We provide all disposables – paper knickers, hair net, sticky feet, wipes and hand lotion. These will help give you the optimum tan!
FAQs
Sienna X only comes in to contact with the upper layer of the skin and doesn’t penetrate into the blood stream, therefore, it is safe to use during pregnancy. However, we don’t tan anyone under 12 weeks as a precaution. It is always advised to have a patch test to check for sensitivity, as when you’re pregnant, your skin may become more sensitive to products due to changes in hormones. You will wear a mask until the very end of the treatment when we tan your face.
Research has shown that the combined use of spray tanning products and sun exposure actually accelerates the tanning process. Those who wish to combine our product with an additional sun-tanning regime will see quicker and more satisfying results than without. Please note, we do advise the use of SPF when sun-tanning.
No, they are 100% cruelty free. Their products contain no harmful ingredients that would have required animal testing.
Your tan will fade gradually, but if you want to remove it prematurely, we recommend using Sienna X Eraser Self Tan Remover & Mitt.
It lasts up to seven days dependent on skin type and aftercare.
